Dr Nick Maisey

Dr Nick Maisey is a Consultant Oncologist treating GI cancers, stomach cancer, liver and bile duct cancer, pancreatic cancer, gall bladder cancer, and bowel cancer.
Bio
Dr Maisey is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guys and St Thomas鈥� NHS Foundation Trust.
He chairs the Guys and St Thomas鈥� Upper GI Multidisciplinary team, is a core member of the carcinoma of unknown primary team at Guys and St Thomas鈥� and has been instrumental in developing the service of treatments and pathways for this rare cancer.
After qualifying in 1993 from Guys and St Thomas鈥� Hospital, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1997.
He completed his specialist training in medical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital. In 2002 he was awarded an MD thesis for his work on early response markers in cancer.
Dr Maisey is involved in cancer drug development and has been a principal investigator on a number of national clinical trials as well as commercial studies. He has held a number of key roles including vice chair of the upper gastrointestinal tumour working group and medical director for the South East London Cancer Network.
He has published several peer-reviewed papers and presented at a number of national and international meetings.
