Dr Lucia Ricciardi
Lucia Ricciardi is an internationally recognised expert in Parkinson鈥檚 disease and other movement disorders including dystonia and tremor. She has a particular interest in their multi-disciplinary team management and advanced therapies including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery.
Bio
Dr Ricciardi is a Consultant Neurologist at St George鈥檚 University Hospital in London. She studied medicine and completed her neurology specialty training at the University of Messina, Italy then fellowships in movement disorders at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy, and the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. She was most recently a UK Medical Research Council Fellow in the Brain Dynamics Unit at the University of Oxford.
Dr Ricciardi is Senior Lecturer in Neurology at St George鈥檚, University of London. She has published over 80 scientific papers and many book chapters. Her research is focused on cognitive, psychiatric and emotional dysfunction in patients with movement disorders and chronic pain, especially those with Parkinson鈥檚 disease
