Bio
Simon Wood is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the London Clinic and Imperial College NHS Trust in London. He was appointed in 1999 to Charing Cross Hospital with a special interest in reconstruction for breast and head&neck cancers.
He provides the following specialist services:
- Cancer reconstruction 鈥� especially head & neck, breast and skin
- Abdominal wall reconstruction for complex hernias
- Skin - lumps, moles and cancers
- Cosmetic breast and abdominal surgery
Mr Wood has strong interest in Plastic surgery training. He was a member of the Plastic Surgery Specialist Advisory committee for the Joint Committee of Surgical Training (JCST) for the joint Royal Colleges of Surgery in the UK and Ireland from 2012-5 and the Chair from 2015-8. He is now a board member for the Plastic Surgery section of the Joint Committee of Intercollegiate Examinations 2019 to present.
In 2020 he was elected by the British Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgeons to the the Hon Treasure and one of the 4 senior officers of the Association.
